Exodus

Living God,
We have packed up and left Egypt,
we are following you and our rucksacks are full
of hope,
of promise,
of longing for a new land,
of the thoughts of milk and honey,
of the idea of freddom,
of living in a safe place,
of living in community,
of knowing everyone's name,
of freedom for everyone.

These are the hopes you fill us with.
Not Moses, not the Israelites,
not the chosen people,
not the Hebrew nation,
not Josephs ancestors,
not Abrahams children.
But us!

  1. Going to be looking at the story of the Exodus this Sunday. It's an old one but a good one!
